CALGARY RUGBY UNION
The Calgary Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby in Southern Alberta. The CRU represents 14 clubs and operates with over 95 teams in various leagues, from minis all the way to seniors.
Traditionally, rugby in Alberta is played from the first week of May to the last week of September. Most clubs begin outdoor training in early April at their own facilities, but the CRU serves as the main hub for rugby Saturdays as we are located on over 30 acres of land, offering 5 full rugby pitches.
Our clubhouse includes a kitchen, bar, and a patio that offers an amazing view of the Rocky Mountains. It serves the rugby community and also operates as an event facility for parties, weddings, fundraisers, and other events.

APTOELLA was founded in 2012 by Barbara Mervin, a three-time Rugby World Cup player who proudly represented Canada’s Senior National Team for 13 years. After years of competing at the highest level, Barbara saw what so many female athletes already knew — women deserved performance gear that actually fit.
